Under the international background of green and low carbon development, clean coal technology（CCT） has been a significant measure for coal-consuming countries to improve energy efficiency, reduce pollution and cut CO₂ emission. In recent years, clean coal technology has made great progress with the innovation of advanced coal-fired power generation emerging. The update policy support and technology progress have strongly accelerated the development of clean coal.

To jointly promote clean, high- efficiency and low carbon coal utilization and strengthen international cooperation and collaborative innovation, CCT Joint Operation Center has made the well organization and preparation of the Exchange & Training on Clean Coal Technology and Clean Energy Policy (EWG 14 2018S) for the 21 APEC economies to be held during May 6-10, 2019 in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China. This program has invited USA expert, Smouse Scott, who is the Chair of AEPC Expert Group on Clean Fossil Energy, to make the keynote speech and also arranged several Chinese industry experts to share China high- efficiency and clean coal technology and experience. Additionally, site-visits to Ninghai Power Plant and Zhoushan Power Plant, which are the industry leader in high-efficiency and clean coal technology, will be scheduled.

This program is aimed to promote the clean coal technology (CCT) development in the Asian-Pacific region, share the advanced high-efficient and clean coal technology and experience and further provide the communication platform for CCT transfer and promotion.
