Recruitment of International Experts for APEC Sustainable Energy Center

The APEC Sustainable Energy Center (APSEC), established at the 11th APEC Energy Ministers' Meeting in 2014, is the first international energy organization led by the Chinese government. APSEC is affiliated to National Energy Administration (NEA) and is operated and managed by Tianjin University. As one of the two international think tanks of Tianjin University, APSEC is an important initiative for Tianjin University to implement an international development model, build a world-class university and first-class disciplines, and cultivate talents with a global perspective. Tianjin University attaches great importance to APSEC and has invested resources and financial support in its construction and development. APSEC currently has nearly 300 square metres of office space at Tianjin University Weijin Road campus and has 13 full-time staff, including two international experts from Switzerland and Australia respectively.

In order to strengthen the internationalization of APSEC, further optimize the structure of talent team and improve the quality of professional researchers, we are now open to recruit senior researchers in relevant fields worldwide, with the following requirements.

1. Requirements

  (1) Doctorate or above with outstanding academic performance;

  (2) Researchers with professorial titles or professor-level or senior managers of government and enterprises;

  (3) Research and work in energy-related fields, with certain research results in energy engineering, energy economics, clean energy, low-carbon development, urban resource planning, green building and other related disciplines;

The conditions may be relaxed as appropriate for those who are urgently needed for the development of APSEC.

2. Responsibility

  (1) Participate in the formulation, implementation and supervision of APSEC research interests and work plans;

  (2) Promote APSEC's research work, guide project implementation, evaluate research results, and provide technical advisory services to government enterprises and relevant international organizations;

  (3) Participate in APSEC international exchange activities, promote APSEC to carry out international exchanges and strengthen international cooperation.

3. Salary Treatment

In accordance with the remuneration system of Tianjin University.
