APEC Workshop on Sustainable Cites, as the annual flagship forum of APEC Sustainable Energy Center (APSEC), is held during the APEC Energy Working Group Meeting in the first half of every year. Since 2006, the workshop has been successfully held for three sessions. More than 100 representatives attended the meeting, with delegates from APEC Secretariat, APEC Energy Working Group, APEC’s 21 Member Economies, international organizations, independent experts, research institutions and enterprises.

The 4th APEC Workshop on Sustainable Cites will be held during the 57th APEC Energy Working Group Meeting (EWG57) in Manila, Philippines, on May 22nd, 2019. 

In this workshop, APSEC will share the “APEC Sustainable Urban Development Report”. Scholars from China, Malaysia, Peru, Vietnam and other economies will share the experience on the theme of “Sustainable Urban Planning and Energy Systems”. And a special group discussion focusing on the hot topic areas will invite domestic and foreign experts in fields of energy and urban, well-known entrepreneurs to discuss the sustainable development of Asia-Pacific cities.

We wish that the workshop could become a diversified communication platform integrating policy exchange, information sharing, capacity building, joint research and technical cooperation, to promote sustainable urban development in the Asia-Pacific region. Looking forward to your participation!
