Cooperative Network
APEC Cooperative Network of Sustainable Cities is an open, shared and equitable network for 21 APEC economies established by APSEC at the 51st Meeting of APEC Energy Working Group in 2015 in Canberra, Australia, which is consist of“APEC Cooperative Network for Low Carbon Energy Efficient Cities” and “APEC Sustainable City Service Network”. As of October 2019, PEC Cooperative Network for Low Carbon Energy Efficient Cities mainly includes 12 cities including Canberra, Australia; Zhangjiakou, China and Da Nang, Viet Nam etc. APEC Sustainable City Service Network mainly includes 17 units and international organizations including the Australian National University, The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas).
In order to establish international and domestic friendly city exchange mechanisms, enhance cooperation and dialogue between cities, stimulate the potential of urban development, and promote the exchange and sharing of low-carbon energy efficiency technologies among cities, so that cities have a good living environment and business competitiveness.
APSEC will further enhance its international influence and reputation in the field of energy, and make positive contributions to the enhancement of China's core competitiveness in sustainable development through project research, think-tank services, training etc., making comprehensive use of the two major networks, platforms, reports and policy recommendation.
